I have been painting since I was 8 years old. I loved the different mediums and experimenting with different styles. I was interested as a young girl going to museums and seeing the work of other artists.
As I grew up I knew several friends who were very creative but then had accidents that left them with brain damage. When I was in college I heard of a new field called Art Therapy. I moved to Cambridge Mass. And started a master’s program in the field where I learned to work with children and adults with mental challenges.
I have had a career in Expressive Arts Therapy for over 40 years all the while painting on my own and having exhibits. I work in acrylic on canvas, watercolor on paper and make fine art cards. My work is Southwestern, abstract, and impressionistic.
