Artists & Makers Studios – Oro Valley is pleased to announce the May gallery exhibition featuring local artist, Jennifer Clarke—on display from May 5th, 2023 through May 26th, 2023. Jennifer studied sculpture and printmaking in England before moving to Denmark. She worked at the National Museum in Copenhagen for 13 years and then as a freelance restorer and conservator of decorative arts.. She came to Arizona in 2006 and since then her focus has been working with mezzotint. Mezzotint, invented in the 17th century, is a monochrome printmaking process known for the luxurious quality of its tones. Jennifer uses this process to create sublime images that capture life from the Sonoran Desert.

The exhibit for Jennifer Clarke will run from May 5th through May 26th, 2023. Viewing hours are Thursday 10:00am– 4:00pm, Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm, & Saturday 10:00pm– 4:00pm. Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn Drive in Rockville, established in October 2014 by artist and arts community builder Judith HeartSong, is a 13,000 sq. ft. facility is home to 87 artists, and 80 student artists. Artists & Makers Studios – Oro Valley, AZ is a two-year-old jewel box location with talented Resident Artists, 3,575 sq ft of studios, galleries, and flex-classroom space. Construction is currently underway in San Gabriel, CA for Artists & Makers Studios’ third location, with construction set to begin shortly for the fourth location in North Hollywood, CA. A&M Studios is dedicated to providing a supportive and vibrant environment for artists to realize their creative goals – through studio practice, collaboration, education, opportunities, networking and connecting with the community beyond our doors.
