(Oro Valley, AZ) – Artists & Makers Studios in Oro Valley is pleased to announce the June gallery exhibition featuring local artist, Michael Muñoz—on display from June 2nd, 2023 through June 30th, 2023. Michael is a native of Tucson, Arizona. His experience in various industries and his travels across the globe have helped hone his craft. Primarily a digital artist, Michael has a background in photography and oils. Using digital media for flexibility, he still maintains a traditional approach to his art, using traditional methods that are used in painting. With a focus on the human form and using a limited color palette, he creates works that elicit an extraordinary and intense visual experience that is both striking and evocative. “I believe that art has the power to tell a story and elicit emotions, and that the human body is a powerful medium that can be used to convey a range of feelings through its physical language.” During the run of the exhibit, videos of Michael’s creative process will be available and guests may attend a digital art workshop.

Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn Drive in Rockville, established in October 2014 by artist and arts community builder Judith HeartSong, is a 13,000 sq. ft. facility is home to 87 artists, and 80 student artists. Artists & Makers Studios – Oro Valley, AZ is a two-year-old jewel box location with talented Resident Artists, 3,575 sq ft of studios, galleries, and flex-classroom space. Construction is currently underway in San Gabriel, CA for Artists & Makers Studios’ third location, with construction set to begin shortly for the fourth location in North Hollywood, CA. A&M Studios is dedicated to providing a supportive and vibrant environment for artists to realize their creative goals – through studio practice, collaboration, education, opportunities, networking and connecting with the community beyond our doors.
