July 2022 in the Galleries at Parklawn

Artists & Makers Studios is delighted to present “Moments” with Jeff A. Evans, along with animal-themed art by Resident Artists, and the Member Artists of Gallery 209

(Rockville, MD) – Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn Drive in Rockville hosts the work of Jeff A. Evans in the exhibit “Moments”, the Resident Artists’ “Animal” exhibit – along with new work in Gallery 209 and building-wide Open Studios. The July 9th opening will run from 11am – 3pm. Lives are often connected, like dots, by the “moments” that inspire us from one place in time to the next.  Jeff A. Evans has travelled across the country for the last several years and for him, these moments of inspiration are often found in the people he meets and the places he sees along this path.  Rather than instantaneously capturing these moments on his smart phone, Evans has made a commitment to tell the story of this journey in the genre of plein air painting.  Akin to a singer songwriter with a quick melody of their experiences, it has been his ambition to capture insight and experiences through a visual medium.  These “moments” are but one perspective, or his point of view.  Jeff hopes they will continue to inspire an audience and perhaps take on an evolving story of their own, in the eye of the beholder.  Thank you for sharing in this journey. The animal-themed works of Resident Artists will fill the Gallery Hall, and the Artists of Gallery 209 will feature new work in the large Gallery and adjoining halls.
