Jeanne Sullivan is a mixed media artist who uses an assortment of papers which are torn and mixed with acrylics, maps, drawings, photos, charcoal, pencil, prints, tissue, napkins, inks, and some surprises to create something totally unique.
Jeanne’s work has been seen in Strathmore Mansion, Glen Echo Park, Gateway Arts Center, Montpelier Mansion, Kentlands Mansion and other shows. Her original matted work and are available at the Strathmore Mansion Gift shop and at Something Earthy Pottery Studio and Gallery in Laytonsville MD. Jeanne’s unique collaged pendants, “Visual Vignettes” can be found at BlackRock Center for the Arts, Germantown MD and at Something Earthy Pottery Studio and Gallery in Laytonsville MD.
Each piece whether it’s a large painting or one inch pendant is created with a variety of mediums to push the layers showing hidden treasures of contrast, interest or something surprising in each work. A sense of mystery is created to invite viewer s to discover their own world.
