Sheila Miles: Forgotten Beauty – Hidden in Plain Sight
(Oro Valley, AZ) – Artists & Makers Studios in Oro Valley is pleased to announce the new gallery exhibition featuring local artist Sheila Miles. Forgotten Beauty – Hidden in Plain Sight—on display from January 7th, 2023 through February 24th, 2022. Sheila Miles has been a figurative painter for over 50 years, exhibited in over 300 exhibitions and 200 of her works are included in such public collections as the New Mexico Arts in Public Places, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and Yellowstone Art Museum. “When I paint I want to make the ordinary extraordinary and depict beauty in the unnoticed and represent the ambience of a place and time that has a special, memorable, or familiar iconic presence.” The galleries are open: Thursday 10am – 4pm, Friday 12pm – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm, or by appointment.

Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn Drive in Rockville, Maryland, established in October 2014 by artist and arts community builder Judith HeartSong, is a 13,000 sq. ft. facility and is home to 66 resident artists. Artists & Makers Studios – Oro Valley is a brand new jewel box location with 3,575 sq ft of studios, galleries and flex-classroom space.
