September 2017 in the Galleries at A&M2 – Wilkins

Artists & Makers Studios 2 Presents
“The Edge of Light” with the National Capital Art Glass Guild
“Steven Krensky’s Wearable Hat Show”

Artists & Makers Studios 2 on Wilkins Avenue in Rockville will present two exhibits in the main galleries for the month of August. “The Edge of Light” a juried exhibition with the National Capital Art Glass Guild will fill the Main Gallery. The National Capital Art Glass Guild, founded in 1978, is a group of 200 glass artists of all persuasions primarily from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC as well as several other states and countries who come together to share ideas, learn from each other, and have fun. “Steven Krensky’s Wearable Hat Show” is an open call exhibit at both A&M locations. The Montgomery County Camera Club celebrates the end of summer with “Destination Vacation – The Travel Show” in their hallway gallery, along with exhibits in New Master’s 3rd floor Gallery, and Gallery 209 on the second floor. Arthur Harrison adds acoustic ambience with theremin music in the artists’ lounge and resident artists’ open studios throughout the buildings will round out the evening.
